Human remains were found in a sugarcane plantation in Sitio Omot, Brgy. Santol, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, the police reported Wednesday, March 20.
The skeletal remains of a 40-year-old man were found by a concerned citizen at about 10 a.m. of March 7, the report said.
Investigation revealed that the victim is suffering from a nervous breakdown and epilepsy.
The victim was identified by his father through his clothes.
The remains were placed in a cadaver bag and was brought to Binalabagan Municipal Health Office for post-mortem examination.
After the examination, the remains were turned over to the family of the victim, the police said.*
