A total of 191 jail personnel and persons deprived of liberty tested negative for drugs during a greyhound operation at the Silay City District Jail in Negros Occidental on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Occidental reported no positive drug test results during the random tests and seizure operation at the district jail in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City.
Operatives from the PDEA-Neg. Occ. Seaport Interdiction Unit together with Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office conducted the operation Wednesday morning.
During the search and seizure operation, PDEA also did not find any illegal drugs inside the jail facility.
One hundred forty PDLs and 51 jail personnel underwent the random drug testing.
The operation in line with the intensified efforts in ensuring drug-free jail facilities under the agency’s Drug-Free Workplace Program, the PDEA added.*
