About P7.4 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of a high-value drug target in Brgy. Buntis, Bacong town in Negros Oriental on Tuesday, Sept. 10, the police reported.
Arrested was alias “Opaw”, 45, a resident of Purok Matinabangon, Brgy. Bagacay, Dumaguete City, the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office reported.
The police recovered suspected shabu weighing 1,085 grams with an estimated street drug price of P7,378,000, it added.
The operation was conducted by NOPPO’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence Unit.
The suspect is now detained at the Bacong Police Station and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
