Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was in Bacolod City Saturday, January 27, for the distribution of salary payouts to about 905 beneficiaries under the Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

Revilla was joined by Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and other city officials at the event at the Bacolod City College gym.

Also with Revilla were celebrities Niño Muhlach and Angel Leighton.

At least 905 beneficiaries from 12 barangays of Bacolod City received P4,800.00 each or a total of approximately P4.3M, from the TUPAD program, Councilor Em Ang said in a Facebook post.

TUPAD provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a period of 10 days.

This batch of TUPAD assistance was made possible through the office of Revilla, she said.*
