A total of 171 accredited organizations are expected to attend a Sectoral Summit to be convened by the Bacolod City government at the Bacolod City College Activity Center on Friday, Dec. 13.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said they intend to validate the members of various sectoral organizations, including fisherfolk, farmer and transport groups, to establish measures to facilitate and accelerate the delivery of programs to them.
Through a proposed ID system, the mayor aims to avoid the prolonged government validation and distribution process that is often complained about by many members.
Councilor Cindy Rojas, chair of the Sanggunian Committee on Labor, Management Relations and OFWs, clarified that only accredited organizations were invited to send the representatives so there are groups that are not included in the summit.*
