The police confirmed that the killing of two drivers whose bodies were found in the cities of Talisay and La Carlota, Negros Occidental, were connected but they are still confirming the motive and the persons of interest involved.
The victims left a warehouse in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, Wednesday night, Oct. 2, on board a truck driven by Armando Sepocado, 39, Maj. Jun Ray Batadlan, Talisay City Deputy Chief, said on Friday, Oct. 4
His companion, Mar Jun Bandala, 36, was found dead in Brgy. Zone 15, Talisay City, with gunshot wounds in the head and chest at about 6 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3.
Two hours later, Sepocado was also found dead in inside the truck with gunshot wounds in Brgy. Haguimit, La Carlota City.
Batadlan said that Bandala was with Sepocado as he was supposed to drive another truck when they arrived in Manila to bring logistics back to Negros.
Both victims were residents of Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
The police said that the victims who left their company’s warehouse in Brgy. Villamonte were supposed to drive towards the BREDCO Port.
They are still investigating the reason why the truck was found in La Carlota, the police said.
The Talisay and La Carlota City police stations are conducting separate investigations on the killings.*
