A man was found dead in a river in Purok Humayan, Brgy. Malubon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, March 20.
Ellesio Paderna, 69, was found lifeless floating in the Himogaan River at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
A dump truck driver discovered the victim whom witnesses said was last seen alive on March 18.
PLt. Hanna Banquil, Sagay deputy police chief, said the victim was living with his sibling in Sagay because his wife is blind and he was alleged to be mentally challenged.*
