The Bacolod Rum Festival officially opened at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds on Saturday and will run until August 18.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez led the opening of the festival’s food park where music nights will also be held.
“While we’ve invited others to join, it is Tanduay’s generosity that has helped us bring this event to life, Benitez said.
“The city council enacted this festival as an ordinance, and we eagerly anticipate celebrating it each year. We look forward to the exciting activities lined up for this year’s celebration,” he said.
He thanked Tanduay for its continued support in making the rum festival a success.*
