
There will be temporary road closures in Bacolod City from January 28 to February 3 for the Bacoloadiat Festival, Jose Antonio Robello, Bacolod Traffic and Transportation Management Department deputy, said on Friday.
To be closed are the North Capitol Road and Lacson Street from 5th to 13th streets, that will serve as the Bacolaodiat Festival sites.
The road closures were approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and the Office of the Mayor.
The 20th Bacolaodiat Festival will usher in the Chinese Lunar New Year from January 31 to February 2.
It will be celebrating the start of the year of the wood snake.
This year’s Bacolaodiat Festival will feature cultural performances, a lantern street and arena dance competition, Asian food crawl, among others.*
