Revenge eyed in slay of two alleged thieves

The police are looking at vengeance as a possible motive for the killing of two alleged thieves at Araneta Street, Brgy. 15, Bacolod City, early Friday morning, Nov. 10.

However, Maj. Elmer Bonilla, Police Station 1 chief, said on Monday, November 13, that the angles the police are looking at are still subject to validation.

Bonilla said that their investigation shows that there were theft incidents within Brgy 15 that were not reported to the police.

Kenneth Jamandre and Nobert Belonio Aguda were found lying on the pavement soaked in blood from gunshots they sustained from unidentified suspects.

The police are also validating reports that the two victims were involved in recurring theft incidents in the area, Bonilla said.

On the reports that alleged vigilantes are involved in the killing of the two, Bonilla said that nothing is certain yet as these are subject to verification.*
