The remains of the Negrense caregiver who was killed by Hamas militants in Israel is arriving in Negros Occidental on Sunday, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Friday, October 20.
The remains of Loreta Alacre was on a flight from Tel Aviv in Israel on Friday and will arrive in Manila on Saturday.
On arrival in Negros Occidental Alacre’s remains will be brought to her home in Barangay Cadiz Viejo in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Lacson said right now there is a lot of aid being provided to the Alacre family, including the turnover of P500,000 from House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Romualdez on Wednesday.
“On the part of the province of Negros Occidental, we will wait for the remains to be transferred here…After all this is done we will see where we can come in and make a significant contribution,” he said.*
