Police arrested the Negros Island Region’s No. 1 most wanted person in La Carlota City on Saturday night, July 4.
The accused was identified as alias “Mar,” 20, a resident of Brgy. 2, La Carlota City.
He was arrested at around 10:24 p.m. along Ibiza Street in Villa Caridad Subdivision, Brgy. 3, during an operation conducted by the La Carlota City Police Station with assistance from provincial and regional intelligence units.
Police said the accused was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for six counts of rape under the Revised Penal Code.
No bail was recommended by the court.
Authorities alleged that the accused committed the offenses against his minor girlfriend on several occasions.
The accused is detained at the La Carlota City Police Station pending turnover to the court.*
