Reconciliation of master lists for P94.6M NHA aid needed

The Negros Occidental provincial government is waiting for local government units (LGUs) to reconcile their master lists of Typhoon “Odette” victims who will be the recipients of the P94.6 million National House Authority assistance, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Wednesday, March 9.

Diaz said the LGUs had initially submitted a lower number of typhoon victims that was the basis of the NHA allocation, and later increased the numbers.

What are needed are lists of recipients based on the initial numbers submitted by the LGUs, he said.

The NHA that is giving P5,000 per family allocated P94,665,000 for 18,933 recipients, Diaz added.

The identified areas are Isabela, Pontevedra, Sipalay City, Ilog, Kabankalan City, Cadiz City, Victorias City and Cauayan.

Meanwhile, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson will distribute roofing materials, banana seedings and food packs to more than 2,000 typhoon victims of Isabela town Thursday, Diaz said.*
