A rebel surrenderee assisted the government soldiers in recovering his firearm hidden in the area where an encounter, tagged as the “Battle of Pinapugasan”, occurred on February 21, a 79IB press release said.
During the search they retrieved an 5.56mm (M653) assault rifle with seven rounds of live ammunition and a short magazine.*
