The Negros Occidental provincial government has started the construction of a two-story parking building that can accommodate 128 vehicles at its property at Gatuslao Street, Bacolod City.
The two-story parking area for provincial government employees is located across the street from the new Provincial Administration Center that is under construction, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.
When the parking area and the new PAC are completed a bridge can be built to connect the two, he said.
The new P898 million PAC is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2025, Diaz said. The contractors are E.M. Cuerpo Inc. and Dynamic Builders Construction Co.
Meanwhile, the old PAC has already been cleared of occupants and Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has informed Dynamic Builders that has leased the property that it can commence demolition and construction, he said.
Dynamic Builders intends to build a mix-use commercial building at the site of the old PAC.*
