A total of P1.7 million was released for the stipends of 998 Project FREE (Flagships to Reach Educational Excellence) Paglaum teacher-scholars (Batch 2) of the Negros Occidental provincial government at the Panaad Park in Bacolod City, Saturday, February 20.
The beneficiaries are Negros Occidenal public elementary and high school teachers who availed of post-graduate studies scholarships, a press release from the Capitol said.
The activity was facilitated by the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program headed by Karen Dinsay, and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, who was present at the activity, lauded the teacher-scholars for observing safety protocols at the activity. The governor also told them to support the COVID-19 vaccination program of the government to slowly recover and move forward towards development.*
