The policeman tagged in the shooting of a father and son on Christmas Day is facing more criminal and administrative charges.
PCpl. Armin Alanza was arrested for shooting Jomarie Fuentes and his son, Joman, who died, in Brgy. Canjusa, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, on Dec. 25.
Earlier the police filed homicide charges against Alanza for the death of Joman.
Capt. Judesses Catologo, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office spokesperson, told DIGICAST NEGROS that frustrated homicide charges will also be filed against Alanza for shooting Jomarie.
Jomarie is still in the hospital and is now in stable condition, while Alanza is also under hospital arrest due to injuries.
Alanza is a member of the 604th Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.
Catalogo said that they are also in the process of filing an administrative case against Alanza and he has five days to reply in a counter affidavit.
If there is a probable cause, the administrative case will proceed through a hearing officer.
Catalogo assured that due process will be observed in the filing cases against the police officer.*
