The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR)y conducted a warrant operation in Barangay Looc, Dumaguete City, on Sunday, October 12, that led to the arrest of a high-value suspect and the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at approximately PhP340,000.
The operation, which was carried out in Zone 1, Brgy. Looc, resulted in the seizure of more or less 50 grams of suspected shabu, a police report said.
Arrested was alias “Roy,” 56, a resident of Barangay Looc, who is currently detained at the Dumaguete Police Station.
The operation was initiated following information received by the police regarding the suspect’s alleged rampant selling of shabu in the community.
“Acting on this report, the operatives conducted a series of surveillance operations and a test buy, which confirmed the veracity of the information,” PRO NIR reported.
The confiscated drug evidence has been submitted to the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination
