Five persons, including a student, were arrested and P632,400 in suspected shabu was seized in buy-bust operations in four Negros Occidental cities on Wednesday and Thursday, February 28 and 29.
A student was arrested and P340,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized at San Agustin Street, Brgy. 2, La Carlota City, at about 10:38 a.m. Wednesday, the police reported.
The police said they recovered 14 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams from the student.
He is now under the custody of La Carlota City police.
Seven hours later, police operatives in Silay City arrested 29-year-old and 38-year-old individuals in a buy-bust operation in Matagoy Interior, Brgy. Rizal.
The police recovered 11 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 13 grams with an estimated street price of P88,400 from them.
The suspects are now under the custody of the Silay City police.
A 43-year-old woman was also arrested in Brgy 5, Victorias City, Wednesday night.
Recovered rom here were 25 grams of suspected shabu valued at P170,000, the police said.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Victorias police.
In Bacolod City Elizar Belonio Ya-on was arrested with P34,000 worth of suspected shabu at Hermilinda Road, Barangay Granada, Bacolod, at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, February 29, the police reported.*
