Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Negros Island Region dismantled a drug den and arrested six individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City on Friday, Jan. 30.
The suspects were identified only as Bornik, 38; Batoy, 30; Jereck, 26; Ryan, 40; Kent, 28; and Richie, 28.
The PDEA said the operation was conducted around 12:25 p.m. at Progreso Village 1, Zone 3, in coordination with the PDEA –NIR Regional Special Enforcement Team and Police Station 7.
Authorities recovered 13 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 36 grams and valued at P244,800.
Also seized during the operation were three improvised glass tooters with shabu residue, four lighters, an improvised plastic scooper, a small black bag, two black pouches, and P820 in cash believed to be drug proceeds, the police said.
PDEA said the arrested individuals will face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
