Part of P972M Granada property to be used for housing, cemetery

Property being purchased by the Bacolod City government in Barangay Granada will be used for additional housing projects and a new cemetery, Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said Monday, October 16.

It will also be used for other future projects of the city, he said.

The 74.75 hectares owned by the Ledesma family in Barangay Granada is being purchased by the city government for P972 million as part of its lanbanking program.

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod has ratified the deed of sale and some papers are being finalized to enable city government to make the first payment of P826 million.*
