The police seized P14 million worth of drugs in a buy-bust operation at a public cemetery in Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Wednesday, December 29.
Nabbed was Ruel Mirambel, 47, who was said to be a drug courier.
Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag, Dumaguete City police chief, said the suspect claimed that the illegal drugs weighing two kilos came from neighboring San Carlos City in Negros Occidental.
Police are still investigating if the suspect was part of a drug group.
He is now detained at the Dumaguete police station, pending the filing of drug charges.*
