The National Tax Allotment share of Negros Occidental will be P5,823,366,390 for 2025 or an increase by P918,652,846, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Tuesday, July 2.
It is a 19 percent increase over this year’s P4,904,713,544 NTA.
The 2025 amount is almost back to the 2022 allotment of P5,406,262,236, which was sourced from the 2019 pre COVID-19 pandemic national tax collection.
Following the pandemic the NTA of Negros Occidental dropped to P4,617,051,455 or by P789,210,791 in 2023, and increased to P4,904,713,544 in 2024.
Lacson said the P918 million NTA hike in 2025 will be used for farm to market roads and increased assistance to barangays.
The assistance to the barangays of P250,000 could be increased to P300,000 that was the original amount given before, he said.*
