The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) installed new chiefs of police in three municipalities during a mass turnover of office ceremony held at Camp Lt. Col. Francisco C. Fernandez Jr. in Sibulan, Negros Oriental on Tuesday, June 16.

The ceremony, led by NOrPPO Provincial Director Col. Timmar J. Alam, marked the transfer of command and administrative responsibilities in the municipal police stations of Bacong, Valencia, and Vallehermoso.

Among those installed was Capt. Dino Catadman Padron, who assumed the post as officer-in-charge chief of the Bacong Municipal Police Station.

Capt. Mac Millard Milan, formerly the deputy chief of the Dumaguete City Police Station,  took over as chief of the Valencia Municipal Police Station, replacing Capt. Donicko B. Angeles.

Angeles, in turn, was designated as the new chief of the Vallehermoso Municipal Police Station, replacing Capt. Berwyn Soreño, who has been reassigned as deputy chief of the Manjuyod Municipal Police Station.

Police said the reassignment formed part of the Philippine National Police’s regular leadership rotation policy after the outgoing chiefs completed their prescribed two-year tour of duty.

In his message, Alam encouraged the incoming police chiefs to lead with professionalism, dedication, and integrity while continuing the accomplishments of their predecessors.

He also emphasized the importance of taking care of police personnel and strengthening partnerships with local government units and communities.*
