The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) awarded top-performing police stations and units in the province for their contributions during their three-Day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO), at their flag ceremony on Monday, January 15.
In the city category, the Canlaon City Police Station ranked first, followed by Dumaguete City, and Bayawan City.
Siaton ranked first in the Class A Municipal Police Station category, Vallehermoso ranked first in Class B, and San Jose in Class C.
NOPPO’s 2nd Mobile Force Company also ranked first in the provincial mobile force company category.
The three-day SACLEO was held from January 8 to 10 where all the city and municipal police stations held various anti-criminality operations in Negros Oriental.
SACLEO resulted in the confiscation of 48.84 grams of suspected shabu worth P332,112 and 45 grams of marijuana valued at P5,400 in Negros Oriental, the NOPPO said.
The police also conducted 29 anti-illegal gambling operations that led to the arrest of 61 individuals and confiscation of P5,786 worth of bet money, it added.
They also arrested two most wanted persons and 43 other wanted persons in the province during the 3-day activity.
The NOPPO also conducted 53 loose firearms operations where 66 firearms were confiscated and surrendered to the police.
The police also conducted four “Oplan Katok” operations where four firearms were deposited at the NOPPO.
NOPPO also apprehended 1,135 individuals for violations of local ordinances in Negros Oriental.*
