The Northern Negros Electric Cooperative announced that its electricity rates this month increased by P0.487 per kilowatt-hour, from P11.8995/kWh in December 2023 to P12.3865/kWh in January.
It attributed it to the increase in the prices of electricity at the Wholesale Electric Spot Market from P6.0327 to P6.5169/kWh.
NONECO also cited an increase in the fuel rate at the Palm Concepcion Power Corporation by P0.1439/kWh.*
