The Negros Occidental police director and 10 police chiefs were among those included in the latest revamp of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Col. Romy Palgue was relieved from his post as director of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) effective Sunday, January 9.
He was among the provincial police directors in Western Visayas who were affected by the reshuffling. He had served the province since June 2020.
Col. Leo Pamittan, who was the acting director of the Capiz Police Provincial Office, replaced Palgue.
Meanwhile, 10 police stations under NOCPPO have new officers in charge.
Palgue presided over the turn over ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Saturday, January 8.
The police chiefs affected were:
*Lt. Col. Arthur Baybayan of the San Carlos City Police Station was replaced by Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon Jr., whose previous designation was the chief of the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit in NOCPPO. Baybayan is now assigned to the NOCPPO Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit.
*Lt. Col. Romeo Vargas of the Himamaylan City Police Station was replaced by Lt. Col. Reynante Jomocan, who was the previous chief of Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit in NOCPPO. Vargas was designated as the chief of the NOCCPO Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Unit.
*Lt. Col. Eduardo Corpuz of the Victorias City Police Station was replaced by Lt. Col. Joseph Fajardo Jr., who was previously assigned at the Provincial Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit. Corpuz’s new assignment is at the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit in NOCPPO.
*Lt Col. Norberto Barniso of the Cauayan Municipal Police Station was replaced by Maj. Roberto Indiape Jr., who was previously chief of police of the Calatrava Municipal Police Station.
*Maj. Jake Barila of the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station was replaced by Cpt. Ryan Villasario, who was the former deputy chief of Escalante City Police Station. Barila is now the new NOCCPO Provincial Learning Doctrine and Development Section chief.
*Maj. Roberto Indiape Jr. of the Calatrava Municipal Police Station was replaced by Maj. Joevito Bose, whose previous designation was chief of the NOCPPO Provincial Learning Doctrine and Development Section.
*Lt. Col. Jonel Guadalupe of the La Carlota City Police Station was replaced by Lt. Col. Lowell Garinganao, who was the Capiz Police Provincial Office chief of Provincial Police Strategic and Management Unit.
*Lt. Col. Rocky Desear is now the new chief of the Escalante City Police Station, replacing Lt. Col. Gil John Despi who will now be the officer-in-charge of the Cadiz City Police Station.
Lt. Col. Albert Sy of the Sagay City Police Station was replaced by Lt. Col Jonel Guadalupe, who was the previous chief of the La Carlota City Police Station. Sy assumed now the head of the NOCPPO’s Provincial Human Rights Affairs Office.
