Bacolod City and Negros Occidental are the two remaining areas in Western Visayas classified as high risk for COVID-19 transmission, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Monday, October 4.
Both areas, which are also under the highest COVID-19 alert level of 4, are conducting massive vaccination drives to curb the spread of the virus.
Negros Occidental received 107,640 doses and Bacolod City 18,720 doses of Pfizer vaccines from the DOH on Monday, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.
On Monday, Negros Occidental had 4,694 active COVID-19 cases and Bacolod City had 2,162, the DOH reported.*
