Fifteen Grade 10 students of the Third District of Negros Occidental hurdled the first round of the Kwisko challenge and are getting ready for the final showdown on October 23, the championship round of the 1st Kwizko ni Kiko in Metro 3rd.
The 15 finalists are: Victorias – JozhPruellene F. Romaquin, Victorias National High School (coach Norlie L. Canete); Chester M. Abanggan, Negros Occ. National Science High School (coach Kaye B. Aquino); Libert A. Villaruel, Brgy. Estado National High School (coach May Rose Verano).
EB Magalona – Joshua G. Eso, Tanza National High School (coach Lenita D. Prudente); Christine Mae Tramado and Paul B. Guin-alon, Enrique B. Magalona National High School (coaches Leah Legada and Nieva Santillan).
Silay- Bea Marie T. Alisbo, Brgy. GuimbalaonNatyional High School (coach Milalyn B. Tolentino); Anika A. Hinolan and Marianne Asley P. Villeta, Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School (coach Rodel D. Abellar).
Talisay – Ranaelah B. Gamboa, Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School (coach Wennie Lyn S. Leria); Meryll I. Millan, Dr. Antonio A, Lizares Memorial High School (coach Zephaniali M. Andrada); and Nejhon Philip R. Llanes, Don Hilarion G. Gonzaga Memorial High School (coach Kia G. Ciocon).
Murcia – Rachel Ricablanca, Cansilayan National High School (coach Cresia Marie Cordova); ClaireJaud, Lopez Jaena National High School (coach Joemel E. Panaguiton); and Melancholy Danielle Barot, Murcia Open Bible Christian Academy (coach Dennis G. Caguan).
The 15 finalists will compete in the final round set on October 23 at the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas in Talisay City, a press release from the organizers said.
