The Department of Education – Division of Negros Occidental kindergarten to high school enrollment reached 307,317 on Monday, August 5, division spokesman Ian Arnold Arnaez said.
That is about 94 percent of last school year’s K-12 total enrolment of about 325,000, he said.
The figure is still likely to increase with late enrollment ongoing until September 16, he said.
There are 149,217 male and 141,087 female enrollees in the division’s public schools, Arnaez said.
There are also 8,521 male and 8,432 female enrollees in private schools, he added.*
