There are 715 elective positions in the Negros Island Region up for grabs in the 2025 polls, with the largest number in Negros Occidental.
Negros Occidental’s elective positions are 354, followed by Negros Oriental with 277, Siquijor – 69 and Bacolod City – 15, Commission on Elections data shows.
On the first day of filing of COCs on Oct. 1, Negros Occidental had the most number of candidates at 26, followed by Negros Oriental with three and Siquijor with one.*
