A 44-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a dropside truck at the national road in Brgy. Marina, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday night, Dec. 9.
The police identified the fatality as alias “Joe”, unemployed and a resident of Brgy. Bagroy.
He was driving a Honda Click 125 when the incident happened at around 7:20 p.m., the police said.
Investigators said the truck driven by a 57-year-old businessman from Kabankalan City was heading toward Kabankalan when the victim’s motorcycle coming from the opposite direction encroached on its lane, causing a head-on collision.
The victim sustained multiple injuries and was brought by Binalbagan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office responders to the Binalbagan Infirmary where he was declared dead.
The truck driver was unharmed.*
