A driver died after his motorcycle collided head-on with a vehicle along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, December 28.
Killed was poultry farm supervisor Mark Joshua Mendez, 24, of Barangay Langub, Escalante City.
Police said the speeding motorcycle crossed the median and hit the oncoming car driven by 38-year-old Michael Guarino of Barangay Granada, Bacolod City.
The victim succumbed to severe injuries after he crashed into the windshield of the other car.
Guarino was released from police detention Wednesday, December 29, after the 18-hour reglementary period lapsed.*
