The local government of Moises Padilla is adopting the learning delivery modalities of the Department of Education (DepEd) for all its public schools starting Monday, December 1.

Face-to-face classes in majority of schools will resume following the lifting of the temporary suspension imposed due to the impact of Tropical Depression Verbena, Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo said.

Through Executive Order No. 252, Series of 2025, Garcia-Yulo formally approved the learning schedule submitted by DepEd Public Schools District Supervisor Gideon G. Panganiban, a press release from the town said Friday.

The lifting of class suspension (EO 250) was based on the latest PAGASA report indicating improved weather conditions, as well as the assessment of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) confirming that the situation in the municipality has stabilized.

The EO mandates all schools to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment as classes resume after recent weather disturbances.

While the majority of schools will resume standard face-to-face instruction, several others will continue with Modular or Blended Learning, depending on their specific local conditions and ongoing recovery efforts from recent storms.

The four schools that will maintain modular learning are Crossing Magallon Elementary School, Inolingan Elementary School, Salapid Elementary School and Jose Pepito Montilla Garcia Sr. National High School.

Nine schools that will adopt blended learning are:

· Agogolo Elementary School

· Bato Elementary School

· Binataan Elementary School

· Macagahay ES – Arum Extension

· Magallon Cadre Elementary School

· Montilla Elementary School

· Nacurohan Elementary School

· Odiong Elementary School

The rest of the schools — including major secondary institutions such as Antonio Montilla Esteban National High School and Guinpana-an NHS Main — will fully return to face-to-face classes.

Garcia-Yulo assured that the local government will continue supporting the DepEd to ensure schools remain safe, orderly, and suitable for learners, and to protect teachers and school personnel as the municipality moves forward with its overall recovery efforts.*
