More than P10M in drugs seized in October: BCPO

The Bacolod City Police Office confiscated 1,558.982 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P10.601 million in October.

The drugs were seized during 33 operations and 33 drug personalities, including 32 pushers, were arrested, the BCPO reported Thursday, November 3.

Three of those arrested were listed as high-value individuals and 30 are street level individuals

In the campaign against wanted persons, the BCPO conducted 50 police operations against wanted persons in October. The BCPO said 13 Most Wanted Persons (MWP) and 38 other Wanted Persons

In the campaign against loose firearms, one small firearm, six homemade firearms, and three explosives were surrendered to the BCPO.

Col. Thomas Joseph Martir, city police director, lauded the operating units and their personnel for doing an excellent job against all forms of criminality.

These achievements, coupled with focused police operations, are the top priority of the BCPO in the pursuit of a peaceful and orderly community, he said.*
