MOA inked to ease Victoriasanons payment of NONECO power bills

To enhance convenience for Victoriasanons, Victorias City hosted the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. (NONECO) and Electronic Commerce Payments Inc. (ECPay) at the Victorias City Hall on Monday, November 4.

Both organizations promised more accessible payment solutions for NONECO consumers through ECPay’s wide network of merchant partners, a press release from Victorias City said.

Victorias Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said he supports the initiative that aligns with the city government’s commitment to improve services and ease processes for its residents.

He underscored the importance of digital initiatives, such as eBOSS and GCash partnerships, that promote cashless transactions and bring efficiency to daily transactions for Victoriasanons.

Benitez also commended NONECO General Manager Wilbe Bilbao and his team’s efforts in driving innovative solutions that benefit the community.

Bilbao expressed enthusiasm for the cooperative’s ongoing digital transformation efforts.

He said “innovation is about transforming challenges into opportunities,” and shared details of the upcoming SIGA (Services, Information, and General welfare for member-consumers Application) mobile application.

Through SIGA, NONECO consumers will gain access to an efficient, transparent service that includes online payment capabilities, information tracking, and monitoring – available across all coverage areas, he said.

ECPay Account Manager Marnelyn Malabanan said ECPay will provide seamless payment options for clients, allowing residents to settle payments from the comfort of their homes.

Malabanan thanked Victorias City for its progressive stance on technology, which aligns with ECPay’s mission of facilitating easy and accessible financial transactions.*
