A man who was allegedly abducted in Silay City, Negros Occidental, last week was found buried under a cellsite tower in Purok Katilingban in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, Sunday, July 31.
The victim was identified as 50-year-old Alex Soberano, who was previously arrested for illegal drugs.
A resident noticed foul odor coming from the tower, which prompted him to report it to barangay officials. They then discovered the body of the victim, the police said.
Capt. Elmer Bonilla, Police Station 7 chief, said Soberano was reported to have been abducted just outside the Bacolod-Silay Airport on July 21.
The victim just arrived from Manila and his son saw that he was forcibly taken into a Toyota Innova.
The police are still determining the motive for the killing.*
