City officials led the lighting up of the Bacolod City Government Center for Christmas Monday night, November 29.
The event was made possible by Bacolod’s Honorary Mayor and Adopted Son, Dr. Andrew Tan, of Megaworld, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said.
“We pay tribute to Dr. Andrew Tan for the generosity of his spirit and his inspiring love for Bacolod City that’s why his companies invested here by the billions via the Upper East Township they have developed on a 34-hectare prime property,” he said.
They have also developed the high-end Forest Hill on a 53-hectare property, he added.
Tan’s group, through Emperador, will also take charge of decorating the Bacolod Public Plaza and the Jubilee Tower for the holidays, Leonardia said.*
