Mayor offers P50,000 reward for arrest of student’s killers

Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez is offering a P50,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects behind the killing of a grade 11 student at his home in June.

The reward will be for the arrest of the suspects in the murder of Nicus Balagosa, the Bacolod City Police Office announced on Monday, Sept. 16.

This is part of the city’s ongoing effort to ensure swift justice for the student who was shot inside his home, the BCPO said.

The police have already issued warrants of arrest for the suspects identified only as Carlito alias “Dondon” and Jonathan alias “Athan” Tongo, who are at large.

Col. Joeresty Coronica, BCPO director, assured that efforts are being exerted to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Those who have information can go directly to the nearest police station or to the BCPO headquarters, he said.*
