Mayor inks MOA for Bacolod express service office at mall

A Bacolod Express Service Office (BESO) is expected to begin operations at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City before the end of the year, Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said Monday, September 12.

Benitez signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the mall general manager Maria Sharon Ciocon, wherein Ayala will provide the city government with space for the BESO for five years rent free, which will be extendable for another five years.

This BESO, which will be located on the third floor of the mall, will bring services of the city government closer to the people, Benitez said.

It will be a one stop shop government service center that will include representatives of the Office of the Civil Registrar, Department of Social Services and Development, Office of the Building Official, Business Permits and Licensure, Office of the City Treasurer, City Health Office, Bacolod City Police Office, Bacolod Traffic Authority Office , Department of Health and the Investment and Tourism Office.

The city government is also working on setting up E-platforms where permits can also be obtained online, Benitez added.*
