Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez joined the bell-ringing ceremony for blessings during the ushering in of the Chinese New Year at the Yuan Thong Temple in Bacolod City Tuesday night, Jan. 28.
His three wishes for Bacolod are for it to become a super city, overcome all of its problems and be kept away from calamities, Benitez said.

Bacolod councilors Jason Villarosa and Pao Sy also joined the bell-ringing ceremony.
