MassKara Festival kiosks almost sold out, BYF says

Corporate and food kiosks are almost sold out before the MassKara Festival 2024 kicks off in October, a press release from Bacolod Yuhum Foundation (BYF) said Monday, Sept. 16.

It said 354 out 547 food kiosks and corporate booths at the four festival sites have already been sold out.

This is “definitely an indication of the constant massive support from our business sector, especially from our local establishments joining this year’s celebration,” said Kuster Cadagat, Secretary and Festival Director for Cultural and Accredited Events.

The foundation is providing larger spaces for concessionaires, with each kiosks measuring 10×10 feet, the press release said.

A total of 127 food kiosks and 11 corporate booths were also sold at the Bacolod Public Plaza for October 12-27.

While 137 kiosks including 13 booths will be occupied by tenants at the Bacolod City Government Center from October 12-27.

There are also 53 out of 134 kiosks that have already been paid for by concessionaires who will operate at the Lacson Strip on October 25-27, while 57 booths and stalls were sold at Megaworld’s The Upper East for October 23-27.

Coordination and orientation meetings with kiosks and corporate booth owners have been initiated along with members of the Inter-agency Committee to ensure food safety and security at the festival sites, the press release said.

“We prepared more events at each of the four festival sites to ensure our local businesses will thrive during the celebration,” Cadagat added.

More than 30 performers along with celebrities are expected to add more fun to the festival.

The MassKara Festival 2024 will be held from October 11 to 27.*
