Suspected marijuana was discovered inside a parcel during a K9 inspection at a courier warehouse in Barangay Junob, Dumaguete City, on Thursday, February 26.
The discovery was made during an inspection conducted by the Seaport Interdiction Unit of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Authorities recovered a transparent vacuum-sealed plastic containing about 50 grams of suspected dried marijuana bricks.
Another plastic pack containing around 30 grams of dried marijuana leaves was also seized.
Police said a glass tube, a sticker marked “WIZK HIGHDOL,” and plastic packaging materials were also recovered from the parcel.
Investigation is ongoing to identify the sender and intended recipient of the parcel.
Authorities said those involved may face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
