A man was shot dead by a security guard while he allegedly attempted to break into an apartment through a window in Brgy. 5, Bacolod City, early Saturday morning, April 12.
Ronel Guillermo, 24, of Purok Nangka, Brgy. 3, Bacolod, died after he was shot by Rengie Librado, 40, of Sitio Tres, Brgy. Inolingan, Moises Padilla, Maj. Eugene Tolentino, Bacolod Police Station 2 commander, said.
The victim was allegedly trying to enter the apartment by breaking a window when the security guard saw him.
The victim sustained gunshot wound in his armpit and was identified by his family.
The family of the victim will file murder charges against the security guard who is now detained, the police said.*
