
A 26-year-old mother was electrocuted in her house at Purok 3, Brgy. San Antonio, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, Feb. 15.
The mother identified by the police only as Jeniva, 26, died.
A concerned citizen heard the victim’s 2-year-old child asking for help and when he arrived at the house he saw the victim lying unconscious while still holding an extension wire, the police said.
The concerned citizen immediately turned off the main switch and removed the wire from the victim’s hand.
The victim accidentally held an exposed section of the extension wire causing the electrocution, the police said.
The victim was brought to the Gov. Valeriano Gatusalo Memorial Hospital where she was declared dead.*
