LTO-NIR records 24 violations, issues 10 TOPs in road safety operations

The Land Transportation Office-Negros Island Region recorded 24 traffic and transport law violations during separate enforcement operations on Wednesday, June 24.

The violations included operating unregistered motor vehicles, reckless driving, driving without a valid license, using defective vehicles, failure to wear seatbelts, and non-wearing of protective helmets.

LTO-NIR said its enforcement personnel issued 10 Temporary Operator’s Permits and confiscated five vehicle plates.

One motorcycle was also impounded during the operations.

The agency urged motorists to maintain valid vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses, comply with traffic regulations, and ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy.

LTO-NIR said the operations form part of its continuing efforts to improve road safety and protect motorists and passengers across the region.*
