The Provincial Legal Office has dismissed a show cause order lodged against former Negros Occidental provincial treasurer Nilda Generoso in connection with the alleged illegal removal of government documents from the Treasurer’s Office at the Capitol in Bacolod City in the evening of November 26.
Provincial Legal Officer Alberto Nellas Jr. today, January 11, said they found no basis to file a formal administrative case against Generoso.
Acting Provincial Treasurer Amy Grace Bolivar issued a certification that the documents removed would not hamper the operations of her office.
Generoso, in her reply, also explained that it was a job order casual who disposed of the documents without her knowledge.
She denied that she had anything to do with the removal of the government documents from the treasurer’s office.*
