The groundbreaking rites for the P4.8 million road improvement from Sitio Pacita to Sitio Mercedes in Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, was held Saturday, April 2.
The improvement of the road is expected to be completed by May 3.
The groundbreaking was led by La Castellana Mayor Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan and Rep. Ma. Lourdes Arroyo (Negros Occidental, 5th District).
“The project has a high impact to the constituents of La Castellana located in the far flung areas, that definitely (will) improve the land transport of products to nearby towns and its accessibility will boost our local economy,” a post on La Castellana’s Facebook page said.*
