Employment opportunities abroad will soon be opened to Sagaynons.
This came after Vice Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva and Councilor Arthur Christopher Marañon met with Australian business consultants on March 23, a press release from Sagay City said Monday, April 3.
Cueva led the team from a Sagay City local government unit in meeting with Cristina Magbojos, Consultant and Project Coordinator of Workforce Abundance with local partner Tina Antonio and Treeti Business Consulting General Manager Megan Holzfeind, and Managing Director Claire Maradani.
The meeting was also in partnership with the Office of 2nd District for Representative Thirdy Marañon.
Cueva, who was the acting Mayor during that time, said that this meeting aims to explore prospects in giving more jobs to Sagaynons and open partnerships with business agencies abroad.
Their meeting was about their plan to create a government-to-government partnership to create job placements to Australia.
Councilor Marañon said that they are now on the works of realizing the project and will soon announce to Sagaynons the recruitment procedure.
Workforce Abundance is a fee for service program that provides end to end solutions for business’s global employment needs.
Along with Cueva and Marañon were City Administrator Ryan Bonghanoy and other city employees and staff.
Prior to their meeting, the Australian team met with School Administrator of MDM College-Sagay Melanie Torres, and Vice President for Academic Affairs of Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology Jocelyn Bantigue.*
