Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez led the groundbreaking of three landmark projects worth close to P2 billion on Friday, April 25, which “represent a bold step forward in realizing our vision for a modern, progressive, and resilient Victorias City”, he said.

The three projects are the P550 million  Victorias City New Government Center, P200 million Sidlak Land Development Project, and the P1.2 billion Sidlak Residential Complex at Hacienda Loreto, Barangay XIII.

They are located at  the 25-hectare Sidlak Victorias Global City, envisioned to be the new growth area  of Victorias City  .

It is where the future smart, sustainable  and resilient Victorias City will rise, Benitez said.

Work on the Sidlak Land Development Project has started, while the  Victorias City New Government Center and Sidlak Residential Complex will begin next week.

Benitez said the Sidlak Residential Complex under  the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino will be at no cost to  the Victorias City government.

The residential complex will  cover 25,000 square meters or    2.5 hectares.

It will  include 10 five-story buildings, 1,241 housing units, and 60 percent green space. It will also house various amenities such as a parking area,  commercial area, swimming pool, clubhouse, and  playground, he said.

“This development will be carried out at no cost to Victorias City government. Our private partners, through our Joint Venture Agreement, assume full responsibility for construction and development,” he said.

The government center will be a three-story building, covering  7,120.50 square meters across its floors and roof deck, Benitez said.

“It will house the executive and legislative branches alongside key administrative offices, consolidating our government services into a single and well-planned complex”, he said.

The current Victorias  City Hall has long outgrown its original design and capacity, he said.*
